FLEET of WHEELS

The Following is a list of vehicles owned by members of the Manchester area MVT.

Just to show there is no discrimination as to age, make or model of owning a "Truck".

If it runs on tracks or wheels or doesn't run at all, but is a "work in progress".

(Who knows someone might have that bit You need and can't seem to find.)

Maybe You were thinking that "it's only a ..................... It's not a jeep or tank So it's not really a military vehicle"

Willy’s Jeep and Trailer 1943.

Both Jeep and trailer were purchased from the same owner in 2004.who had owned the jeep since purchasing it from a scrap yard in Manchester in the early 1960’s to use as a breakdown truck for his transport business.

The trailer was “acquired” in 1945 just before the end of WWII. The previous owner was working for the mod. At Warton airbase and was told to take and deliver the loaded trailer. The load was delivered just as hostilities ended. He was told to return the trailer to Warton, but Warton didn’t want it and refused to take it. So left with no other options He took it home.

To quote “That’s how I know it’s a war time trailer”

Ian Nettle.
